25 years of commercial banking, venture
capital, merchant, investment banking and
consulting experience both in India and
abroad and has worked with reputed banks
and institutions. Mr.Rao worked with Canara
Bank, CanBank Financial Services, CanBank
Venture Capital Fund in India, Top Technologies
in UK and was Chief of Country Operations,
(Managing Director) India, for a Florida
(USA) based IT Services company.
He led several VC investments in diverse
sectors, such as Energy Devices, Filtration
Technologies, Chemicals & Pharma, Engineering,
Advanced Lasers and Health sectors; few
which have recorded highest growth rates
in Indian VC sector. He was a GSE International
Scholar as an Outstanding Young Professional.
Mr. Rao was also among first ever batch
of senior VC interns with World Bank from
India, following which he worked as Investment
Associate at Hambros (Top Technologies LLC)
at London, UK.
